IR Technology

The oldest and hence tested and having the lowest failure rate, technology is infrared IR. Touch panels, operating on the infrared emitters have light-sensitive two rows perpendicular to each other on the walls of the screen. This solution does not require a special screen coating, which could distort the displayed content. The disadvantages of this type of panels are: poor resistance to infrared light (not suitable for outdoor use, the sunlight), and the work in a narrow temperature range (not resistant to high and low temperatures; unexpected change in temperature can damage the panel).
